Rear Door: Service and Repair

Door - Rear

WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure, REFER to Safety Warnings . Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

Removal

1. Remove the door check bolt at the B-pillar and position aside the door check arm.





2. Disconnect the door wiring harness electrical connector.





3. Support the door from the bottom.

4. NOTE: To minimize the possibility of binding, remove the lower door hinge pivot bolt first.
Remove the lower door hinge pivot bolt.





5. Remove the upper door hinge pivot bolt.





6. Remove the door.

Installation

1. Position the door on the vehicle.

2. Connect the door wiring harness electrical connector.





3. NOTE: To minimize the possibility of binding, install the upper door hinge pivot bolt first.
Install the upper door hinge pivot bolt.
- Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).





4. Install the lower door hinge pivot bolt.
- Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

5. Position the door check arm and install the bolt.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).





6. Adjust the door. REFER to Door Alignment - Rear .
