Removal and Replacement




Pickup Bed

Removal and Installation









1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Vehicle Jacking and Lifting.

2. If equipped, remove the Tonneau cover.

3. If equipped, remove the cargo divider.

4. Remove the tailgate assembly.

5. Remove the fuel filler cap.

6. Remove the fuel filler pipe screws and position the filler pipe aside.
- To install, tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in).





7. Remove the rear fender mouldings. For additional information, refer to Auxiliary Step / Running Board.

8. Raise the vehicle.

9. Disconnect the electrical connector.





10. Disconnect the license plate lamp electrical connectors.





11. Remove the 2 pickup bed front nuts from under the vehicle (1 each side).
- To install, tighten to 62 Nm (46 lb-ft).





12. Remove the 6 rear bumper cover screws (3 each side).





13. Remove the 6 rear bumper cover screws and the bumper cover.





14. Lower the vehicle.

15. Remove the 2 pickup bed rear bolts (1 each side).
- To install, tighten to 62 Nm (46 lb-ft).





16. NOTICE: Protect the paint on the pickup bed and cab as the pickup bed is lifted to avoid damage to the paint surface.

With the help of an assistant, remove the pickup bed and place it on a suitable support.

17. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
