Test A: The Ignition Switch is Inoperative
Test A: The Ignition Switch Is InoperativeNormal Operation
The battery Junction box (BJB) receives fused battery power through fusible link A (12 gauge, YE) and fusible link B (12 gauge, YE) along circuit 37 (YE). The BJB then provides the ignition switch with fused battery power through BJB fuse 7 (60A) along circuit 1050 (LG/VT). The ignition switch then provides power to the central Junction box (CJB) through several different circuits depending on the ignition switch state of operation. The ignition switch has 4 possible states of operation:
^ OFF - No power on any circuit
^ START - Power on circuit 33 (WH/PK) circuit 1499 (PK/LG) and to central Junction box (CJB)
^ RUN - Power on circuit 687 (GY/YE) to CJB
- Power on circuit 297 (BK/LG) to CJB
- Power on circuit 1499 (PK/LG) to CJB
^ ACC - Power on circuit 297 (BK/LG) to CJB
Possible Causes
^ Circuit 37 (YE) open
^ Circuit 1050 (LG/VT) open
^ Fusible links
^ Fuse
^ Ignition switch
