Thermostat-6.0L Diesel
Removal and Installation
1. Drain the engine cooling system.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.





3. Loosen the clamps and remove the charge air cooler duct.





4. Disconnect and position the upper radiator hose aside.





5. Disconnect the exhaust backpressure sensor electrical connector and retaining clip.





6. Disconnect the exhaust backpressure tube at the exhaust manifold.





7. Remove the retaining nuts and exhaust backpressure assembly.





8. Remove the stud bolts and thermostat assembly.
^ Remove and discard the O-ring.

9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Install a new O-ring on the thermostat assembly.
