Brake Master CylinderRemoval and Installation
All vehicles
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner housing.
3. Disconnect the fluid level sensor connector.
4. Disconnect the brake pressure switch connector, if so equipped.
5. Disconnect the brake tubes.
Vehicles with Hydro-Boost(R)
6. Remove the two brake master cylinder nuts, position the hydraulic line bracket aside and remove the master cylinder.
7. Disconnect the power steering tubes.
Vehicles with vacuum booster
8. Remove the brake master cylinder nuts and remove the brake master cylinder.
All vehicles
9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
^ Bleed the brake system.
^ If equipped, bleed the Hydro-Boost(R) system.
