Inner

Tie Rod End-Inner

Removal

1. Remove the steering gear.





2. NOTE: RH side shown; LH side similar.

NOTE: It is necessary to remove both steering gear boots when removing the RH inner lie rod end.

Remove the boot clamps and the steering gear boot.





3. NOTE: LH side shown; RH side similar.

Using a suitable tool, hold the piston shaft.





4. NOTE: RH side shown; LH side similar.

Using a suitable tool, remove the inner tie rod end.

5. NOTE: Using a suitable tool, hold the piston shaft while tightening.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
