Safety Belt Bolt Bit:






SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL

WARNING: ALL SAFETY BELT ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING RETRACTORS, BUCKLES, FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLE SUPPORT ASSEMBLIES (SLIDE BAR), SHOULDER BELT HEIGHT ADJUSTERS (IF SO EQUIPPED) CHILD SAFETY SEAT TETHER ATTACHMENTS AND ATTACHING HARDWARE SHOULD BE INSPECTED AFTER ANY COLLISION. ALL BELT ASSEMBLIES SHOULD BE REPLACED UNLESS A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN FINDS THE ASSEMBLIES SHOW NO DAMAGE AND OPERATE PROPERLY. BELT ASSEMBLIES NOT IN USE DURING A COLLISION SHOULD ALSO BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF EITHER DAMAGE OR IMPROPER OPERATION IS NOTED.

NOTE: The left-hand drive driver side is shown, all others are similar.







1. Lower the rear door opening weatherstripping.







2. Remove the trim panel clips.







3. Position the trim panel out of the way.
^ Pull the lower portion of the trim panel outward to release the lower tab.
^ Pull the trim panel downward to release the upper tab. Position the trim panel out of the way.







4. Using the special tool, remove the bolt. Remove the second row safety belt guide.







5. Separate the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.
1 Using the special tool, remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster bolt.
2 Rotate the top of the safety belt shoulder height adjuster down.







6. Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.
1 Rotate the safety belt shoulder height adjuster releasing the tab.
2 Remove the safety belt shoulder height adjuster.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
^ Make sure to tighten all nuts and bolts to specification.
^ Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted prior to installation.

2. Check the active restraint system for correct operation.
