With Auxiliary Climate Control
REMOVALNOTE: Installation of a new suction accumulator is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of system contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator.
1. Recover the refrigerant.
2. Remove the air cleaner housing and the air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Remove the bolts and position aside the degas bottle.
4. Remove the nut and the refrigerant line bracket.
5. Disconnect the condenser to evaporator line spring-lock coupling from the evaporator inlet.
6. Disconnect the auxiliary refrigerant line spring-lock coupling.
- Discard the O-ring seals.
7. Remove the bolt from the evaporator outlet line bracket near the degas bottle.
8. Remove the bolt.
9. Remove the radiator grille.
10. Remove the three pin-type retainers.
11. Position forward the air deflector.
12. Remove the nut and position aside the suction accumulator.
13. Remove the nut and the condenser to evaporator line.
- Discard the O-ring seals.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- If a new condenser to evaporator line is to be installed, lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil or equivalent.
- Install new O-ring seals lubricated in clean PAG oil or equivalent.
2. Evacuate, leak test, and charge the refrigerant system.
