SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL

All vehicles
1. Remove the condenser to evaporator line.







2. Index mark the condenser to evaporator line and disconnect the two halves.







3. Inspect the evaporator core orifice tube for damage.

4. Engage the special tool to the evaporator core orifice tube.







5. Holding the special tool T-handle stationary, rotate the special tool body to remove the evaporator core orifice tube.

Damaged or broken evaporator core orifice







6. Screw the end of the special tool into the broken evaporator core orifice tube.







7. Holding the special tool T-handle stationary, rotate the tool body to remove the broken evaporator core orifice tube.

All vehicles
8. Make sure that both halves of the condenser to evaporator line are free of any fragments.

INSTALLATION







1. Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean PAG oil.







2. Position the evaporator core orifice tube in the special tool.







3. Using the special tool, install the evaporator core orifice tube into the condenser to evaporator line.







4. Align the index marks and connect the two halves of the condenser to evaporator line.
5. Install the condenser to evaporator line.
