Brake Booster

Removal and Installation
1. Remove the brake master cylinder.





2. Disconnect the power brake booster hose.
1. Compress the clamp.
2. Disconnect the power brake booster hose.





3. CAUTION: When the brake booster push rod is disconnected from the brake pedal, the brake pedal return spring will force the pedal up.
Disconnect the brake pedal to power brake booster push rod.
1. Remove the self-locking pin.
2. Remove the stoplight switch and the brake booster push rod from the brake pedal pin.
3. Remove the brake booster push rod bushing.





4. NOTE: Support the power brake booster.

Remove the power brake booster.
1. Remove the nuts.
2. Remove the power brake booster.





5. NOTE: Use new nuts when installing the brake booster.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
