LIFTGATE RELEASE HANDLE

Special Tool(s)

Removal and Installation
1. Remove the liftgate trim panel.
2. Remove the watershield.







3. Release the exterior liftgate release handle actuating rod.
1. Open the clip.
2. Release the actuating rod.
3. Release the actuating rod from the handle.







4. Remove the four bolts and the license plate lamp shield.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.







5. Remove the rivets and the exterior liftgate release handle.
6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Use the special tool to install new rivets.
- Transfer parts as necessary.
