Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Remove the brake master cylinder.





2. Disconnect the power brake booster hose.
1 Compress the clamp.
2 Disconnect the power brake booster hose.





3. Disconnect the brake pedal to power brake booster push rod.
1 Remove the self-locking pin.
2 Remove the stoplight switch and the brake booster push rod from the brake pedal pin.
3 Remove the brake booster push rod bushing.





4. Remove the bulkhead sound insulator.





5. NOTE: Support the power brake booster.

Remove the power brake booster.
1 Remove the nuts.
2 Remove the power brake booster.

Installation





1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
