Cleaning

CAUTION: The friction clutch plates, band and synthetic seals should not be cleaned in a vapor degreaser or with any type of detergent solution.

1. To clean these parts, wipe them off with a lint-free cloth. Soak new clutch plates or bands in the specified transmission fluid for 15 minutes before assembling.
2. Clean all other parts with suitable solvent and use moisture-free air to dry off all parts and clean out fluid passages.
