Variable Induction System: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove the lower intake manifold assembly.





2. Place the lower intake manifold on a workbench, and remove the bolts retaining the VRIS valve assembly to the lower intake manifold.
- Remove the VRIS valve assembly.

Note: This valve may also be referred to as an Intake Manifold Tuning Valve (like the one used on the 4.6L and 5.4L F Series).

INSTALLATION





To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
