The Dealer Bulletin details a new type of service action - a "Special Service Instruction" (SSI). This service action will appear in OASIS and will be announced to you in a Dealer Bulletin format.
There will be no owner notification or listing of affected vehicles. The action will be limited to the warranty coverage period for the specific involved part. As with all warranty claims, claiming will be done on the ACES II warranty screen.
These Special Service Instructions will be numbered similar to Recalls and Owner Notification Programs but with a different series of numbers. The attached Dealer Bulletin is numbered 97T02.
The Special Service Instruction (97T02) asks dealer technical personnel to service eligible vehicles by checking the existing PCM calibration and, if necessary, revise the calibration. Refer to Attachment II of the dealer bulletin.
