Instrument Cluster
1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system in question.
2. Visually inspect the components of the instrument cluster.
- A fuel gauge which receives its signal from the fuel pump in the fuel tank, incorporating fuel anti-slosh circuitry in the Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) in the logic board that is mounted on the top of the instrument cluster.
- A speedometer with an odometer and a trip odometer, which receives its signal from the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS).
