Disc Brake System: Testing and Inspection

Check the following:
^ The disc brake caliper for brake fluid leakage. If the disc brake caliper is leaking, it must be rebuilt or replaced.

^ The brake pad thickness. Do not install brake pads worn to or past the minimum thickness.

^ The brake pads for contamination Do not put oil or grease-contaminated brake shoes and linings into service.

^ The front disc brake hub and rotor for minimum thickness. Replace the front disc brake hub and rotor if worn to or below minimum thickness.
