Solenoid Control Valve Module Replacement

NOTE: The solenoid control module is mounted on the steering gear assembly end cap. The solenoid control module is removable from the steering gear for servicing, without removing steering gear from vehicle.





REMOVE
1. Remove the wiring harness connectors from the solenoid control module.





2. Depress the 2 locking tabs on the bottom side of the solenoid control module, unlocking the control module from steering gear end cap.





3. Rotate the solenoid control module upward until retaining tabs can be removed from the steering gear end cap. Then remove the control module from the steering gear.

INSTALL
1. Insert tabs on solenoid control module into steering gear end cap. Then rotate module downward until locking tabs on module are engaged with steering gear end cap.
2. Connect wiring harness connectors onto solenoid control module. Be sure wiring harness connector seals are on connectors and in good condition before installing connectors on control module.
