Removal
1. Remove the positive and negative cables from the terminals on the battery.2. Remove the cover from the battery.
3. Remove battery from battery tray.
4. Remove the battery tray. The battery tray is mounted using the 3 bolts and nut as shown.
5. Remove the bolt attaching the power steering fluid reservoir to the left frame rail.
6. Remove the 2 bolts mounting the heat shield for the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) to the HCU mounting bracket.
7. Remove the power steering cooler line hose from the power steering fluid reservoir.
8. Move the power steering fluid reservoir forward. This will allow access to the power steering fluid cooler lines located under the power steering fluid reservoir.
9. Remove power steering fluid hose going to steering gear, from power steering fluid tube going to power steering fluid cooler.
10. Remove the hose clamps from the power steering fluid hoses. Remove the power steering fluid hoses from the power steering oil cooler. Drain power steering fluid from the hoses and the power steering fluid cooler.
11. Remove the routing clip attaching the power steering fluid cooler hoses to the front bumper reinforcement.
12. Remove the power steering fluid to cooler tubes and the routing clip as an assembly from the left front frame rail. Pull the hose section of the cooler tubes through hole in radiator closure panel and into the engine compartment to remove the cooler tube/hose assembly from the vehicle.
