Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable, remove engine oil dipstick.
2. Raise vehicle. Drain engine oil.
3. Disconnect sway bar and move to rear of vehicle to gain access to oil pan.
4. Remove transmission support bracket and inspection cover.
5. Remove oil pan bolts and remove oil pan.





INSTALLATION
1. Apply a 1/8 inch bead of Mopar (R) Silicone Rubber Adhesive Sealant or equivalent, at the parting line of the chain case cover and the rear seal retainer.





2. Use a new pan gasket.
3. Install pan and tighten screws to 12 Nm (105 inch lbs.).
4. Install inspection cover and transmission support bracket.
5. Install sway bar.
6. Lower vehicle and install oil dipstick.
7. Connect negative battery cable.
8. Fill crankcase with proper amount of oil.
