Test 4A - Inlet Valve Circuits

NOTE: You must perform Test 1-A, before proceeding with this test.

Test 4 A: Repairing Inlet Valve Circuits:

NAME OF CODE:
LF Inlet Valve
LR Inlet Valve
RF Inlet Valve
RR Inlet Valve

When Monitored:
Ignition on.

Set Condition:
The Controller Antilock Brakes CAB monitors the inlet valve solenoids. If the CAB detects an open or short solenoid driver circuit, the trouble code is set.

Possible Causes:
^ Loose connections in the valve solenoid circuits
^ Open or shorted valve solenoid coil
^ Loose connection between CAB and HCU
^ Failed CAB
^ Failed HCU

NOTE: When disconnecting or connecting connectors, always check for terminal damage, pushed out pins or miswired.

NOTE: After completion of steps, or completion of test, perform Verification Test VER-1A.Verification Test VER-1A - ABS
