Test 20A

NOTE: You must perform Test 1-A, before proceeding with this test.

NAME OF CODE:
Valve Power Feed Circuit

When Monitored:
Ignition on.

Set Condition:
The Controller Antilock Brakes CAB monitors the main relay output at cavities 13, 25, and 37 at all times for proper system voltage. If the voltage is missing when the relay is commanded on through cavity 32, or present when the relay is off, the trouble code is set.

Possible Causes:
^ Loose connections in the main relay circuits
^ Open ABS system fuse
^ Open fused ignition switch output circuit to the main relay
^ Failed main relay coil or contacts
^ Open main relay control circuit
^ Open main relay output circuit
^ Failed CAB

INACTIVE TROUBLE CODE CONDITION
You have just attempted to simulate the condition that initially set the trouble code message. The following additional checks may assist you in identifying a possible intermittent problem:

^ Visually inspect related wire harness connectors. Look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals.
^ Visually inspect the related harnesses. Look for chafed, pierced, or partially broken with.
^ Refer to any hotlines or technical service bulletins that may apply.

NOTE: When disconnecting or connecting connectors, always check for terminal damage, pushed out pins or miswired.

NOTE: After completion of steps, or completion of test, perform Verification Test VER-1A.Verification Test VER-1A - ABS
