Test 19A - Valve Block Feed Failure

NOTE: You must perform Test 1-A, before proceeding with this test.

Test 19A: Repairing Valve Block Feed Failure:

Valve Block Feed Failure

When Monitored:
Ignition on.

Set Condition:
The Controller Antilock Brakes CAB monitors the valve solenoid circuits at all times for proper voltage. If an intermittent open or short circuit is detected but not identified to any one of the valve solenoids, the trouble code is set.

Possible Causes:
^ Loose connections between the CAB and HCU
^ Loose connections in the solenoid circuits
^ Intermittent open or shorted valve solenoid
^ Failed HCU
^ Failed CAB
^ RFI/EMI interference


NOTE: When disconnecting or connecting connectors, always check for terminal damage, pushed out pins or miswired.

NOTE: After completion of steps, or completion of test, perform Verification Test VER-1A.Verification Test VER-1A - ABS
