DISCUSSION:
Some vehicles may exhibit improper door glass adjustment. These mis-adjustments can cause wind or water leaks, difficult window operation, or damage to the drip molding.
There are four glass adjustments that can be made. They are:
Parallelism:
Parallelism refers to an unequal gap between the rear vertical edge of the door glass and quarter glass molding. Adjusting the equalizer arm (window regulator) bracket changes this glass position.
Fore & Aft:
Fore and aft refers to the front to rear glass position. Adjusting the glass guide rear track slotted screws will change the fore and aft position of the glass.
Height:
Height refers to the maximum upward travel of the glass. Adjusting the up-stops change the maximum height to which the glass rises when rolled completely up.
Tilt:
Tilt refers to the inboard/outboard position of the upper rear corner of the glass. Adjusting the hex screws located within the glass guide rear track slotted screws changes the tilt.
NOTE:
THESE ADJUSTMENTS ARE RELATED AND ADJUSTING ONE MAY HAVE AN EFFECT ON THE OTHERS.
