Crossmember Attachment

1. Lift the vehicle using a frame hoist to allow the suspension to be unloaded.

2. Using the appropriate Service Manual (Group 2), locate the six suspension mounting points (two bolts, four nuts).

3. Check each bolt or nut for proper torque. Torque value for the bolts is 108 Nm (78 ft. lbs.). Torque value for the nuts is 88 Nm (64 ft. lbs.).

4. Check all suspension related parts (Centermember, Stay Bracket, Roll Stoppers and Brackets, etc.) for looseness relating to their attaching bolts or nuts. Tighten each one to the specifications found in the applicable Service Manual.

5. Road test the vehicle and check if the noise still exists. If the noise still exists, proceed to the next area.
