BTDC: Before Top Dead Center
N: Neutral
[01] -- The eighth digit of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) denotes engine code.
[02] -- Controlled by the idle air control motor.
[04] -- Before disconnecting wires from distributor cap, determine location of No. 1 wire in cap, as distributor position may have been altered from that shown at the end of this chart.
[09] -- Disconnect fuel pump electrical connector, located at fuel tank. Start engine & operate until it stalls. Disconnect battery ground cable, then reconnect fuel pump electrical connector. Place shop towels around fuel high pressure hose at fuel delivery pipe side, then disconnect hose. Install suitable fuel pressure gauge between fuel delivery pipe & high pressure hose. Disconnect & plug vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator. Connect battery ground cable & inspect fuel pressure with engine idling.
