Servicing Throttle Body
DISASSEMBLY STEPS1. Throttle position sensor (with closed throttle position switch)
2. Idle air control motor
3. 0-ring
4. Throttle body
CAUTIONS:
1. When loosening a Phillips screw which has been firmly tightened, use a Phillips screwdriver that is an exact fit for the screw.
2. Do not remove the throttle valve.
. Be careful when removing the throttle position sensor and idle air control motor mounting screws, as adhesive has been applied these screws.
CLEANING THROTTLE BODY PARTS (THROTTLE BODY DISASSEMBLED)
1. Clean all throttle body parts. Do not use solvent to clean the following parts:
^ Throttle position sensor (Closed throttle position switch)
^ Idle air control motor
If these parts are immersed in solvent, their insulation will deteriorate. Wipe them with shop towel only.
2. Check if the vacuum port or passage is clogged. Use compressed air to clean the vacuum passage.

Fully open Non-conductive
If there is not continuity with the throttle valve fully closed, turn the throttle position sensor counterclockwise, and then check again.
