Radiator: Service and Repair

Remove radiator in numbered sequence, noting the following:

1. Drain engine coolant into a suitable container as follows:
a. Place instrument panel temperature control lever in Hot position.
b. Carefully remove radiator cap.
c. Remove radiator drain plug.
2. Mark and note the position of the hose clamps before removal.
3. Remove air cleaner bracket.
4. On models equipped with automatic transaxle, plug or cover nipples and hoses for cooling lines to ensure dust, dirt or other contaminants do not enter lines.
4 Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Align hose clamps in position as marked.
b. Install air cleaner bracket.
c. On models equipped with automatic transaxle, install cooling lines.
d. Ensure drain is closed, then fill up coolant. Replace cap, then run engine until warm. Inspect for leaks, then inspect coolant level and fill if necessary.
