NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE APRIL 1, 1996 (MDH 04-01-XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The sunshade may bind or come out of its track during operation. This can be caused by the sunshade stop (located in each guide assembly) deforming through use.
DIAGNOSIS:
Open the sunroof glass to the full open position. Locate the sunshade stops on both guide assemblies. Inspect the ends of the stops for deformation (Figure 1). If deformed in any way, perform the Repair Procedure.
PARTS REQUIRED:
2 MR311013 Sunshade Stop
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This repair involves replacing the sunshade stops with new (harder) stops.
NOTE:
REPLACE BOTH STOPS DURING REPAIR.
1. Open the sunroof glass to the full open position.
2. Using a small screwdriver, remove the sunshade stops from both guide assemblies.
3. Insert the new (harder) stops into each guide assembly.
4. Close the sunroof glass and operate the sunshade to confirm proper operation.
