These diagnostic trouble codes are output when a short circuit (No.54) or open circuit (No.55) occurs in the squib ignition drive circuit inside the SRS-ECU.

Probable Cause
- Malfunction of SRS-ECU

Testing - Corrective Action
- Replace the SRS-ECU.


Caution: Turn the ignition key to the "LOCK" position, disconnect the negative battery cable and tape the terminal. Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the battery cable before doing any further work. (Refer to Service Precautions)
