NameCode No. 52, 86 - 2nd gear incorrect ratio
Description
If the value resulting from dividing the PG-A output (input shaft rotation speed) by the 2nd gear ratio does not match the PG-B output (output shaft rotation speed) after 2nd gear is engaged, diagnostic trouble code No. 52 is output. In addition, if related diagnostic trouble codes (Nos. 51, 52, 53 and 54) are output 4 times, there is an incorrect gear ratio, fail-safe code No. 86 is output and the vehicle is locked in 3rd gear (D) or 2nd gear (2, L) as a fail-safe measure.

- Malfunction of transfer driven gear
- Malfunction of end clutch retainer
- Malfunction of rear clutch
- Noise generated
- Malfunction of kickdown brake
