Battery Connections:

System Operation and Code Output
These codes are output when the resistance value between the safing G sensor terminals in the SRS-ECU is out of the normal range.

Probable Cause
- Malfunction of SRS-ECU

Trouble Causes Of Each Code
Code No. 15
- Safing G sensor short-circuited
Code No. 16
- Safing G sensor open-circuited

Testing - Corrective Action
- Replace the SRS-ECU.

Caution: Turn the ignition key to the "LOCK" position, disconnect the negative battery cable and tape the terminal. Wait at least 60 seconds after disconnecting the battery cable before doing any further work. (Refer to Service Precautions)
