A/T Cooler Lines - Fluid Leaks at Crimp Connection

SUBJECT:
Transmission Fluid Cooler Line Service

MODELS:
1993 - 1996 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Transmission fluid drips off transmission cooler line(s) or cooler line(s) coated with transmission fluid.

DIAGNOSIS:

Inspect transmission cooler line screw clamps at radiator connection and cooler line crimp connection to steel line. Leak at the crimp may be mistaken for a leakage at the screw clamp. If fluid source is the crimp, perform the Repair Procedure.

PARTS REQUIRED:

AR 4758916 Line, Cooler Return
AR 475892 Line, Cooler Pressure

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves replacing the transmission cooler line(s) with revised parts.

1. Remove transmission fluid cooler line(s).
2. Install revised transmission cooler line(s). Tighten cooler line connection at transmission to 18 Nm (155 in. lbs.) and screw clamp at radiator to 2 Nm (18 in. lbs.).

POLICY: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.

21-25-20-96 Replace Cooler Line (Both) 0.9 Hrs.
