NTC-1A No Trouble Code Menu - Start Here


NOTE: Perform TEST TC-1A before proceeding.

1. Check for Technical Service Bulletins and manual updates that relate to the symptoms.

NO TROUBLE CODE INDIVIDUAL TEST


- If you suspect any of the items in the menu below to be the cause of the driveability problem, perform the associated test(s) individually.

- If problem still exists, perform NO TROUBLE CODE COMPLETE TEST, in sequence, until the problem is located.

2. If there are no obvious suspects, perform TESTS NTC-2A through NTC-16A, in sequence, until the problem is located.

NOTE: The following tests cannot be used properly unless the driveability problem actually occurs while the vehicle is being tested.

TIP: To reduce diagnostic time, familiarize yourself with TC-1A and the appropriate diagnostic sections prior to attempting diagnosis.

Start and Stall NTC-2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 9A, 12A, 16A

Hesitation/Sag/Stumble NO TROUBLE CODE COMPLETE TEST above.

Surge NTC-2A,3A,4A,5A,6A,7A,9A,12A,13A,16A

Lack of Power/Sluggish NTC-2A,3A,4A,5A,6A,7A,9A,12A,14A,16A

Spark Knock/Detonation NTC-2A,3A,4A,5A,6A,7A,9A,10A,12A,13A,16A

Cuts Out/Misses NTC- 2A,3A,7A,10A,12A,14A,16A
