SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Polycast wheel center cap falls off following service, cap retention tabs on wheel cracked and/or missing.

DIAGNOSIS:





Visually inspect cap assembly retention area of wheel (3 tabs molded in the wheel on the hub area) located under the cap when cap is installed to the wheel. If cap retention tabs are cracked and/or missing perform the Repair Procedure.

NOTE:
IF ONE OR MORE CENTER CAP ASSEMBLY IS MISSING OR DAMAGED REPLACE ALL FOUR WHEEL CENTER CAPS.

PARTS REQUIRED:

AR 4883044 Cap Assembly, 1993-1995 Model Year

AR 4755127 Cap Assembly, 1996-1997 Model Year

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves replacing the cap assembly or wheel and cap assembly with revised parts.

1. Replace the cap assembly as specified in the parts section if the cap is damaged or missing and the wheel tabs are not damaged.

2. Replace the wheel and cap assemblies if the cap retention tabs are cracked and/or missing on the wheel.

POLICY: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
