Receiver Dryer: Description and Operation

DESCRIPTION
The receiver drier is a receiver for reserve refrigerant. It also has a desiccant bag and a filter.

OPERATION
It is used to absorb moisture, and filter the refrigerant as it passes through.

NOTE: Replace the receiver drier if the A/C system is left open for a long period of time.
