Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

NOTE: The condenser can be serviced without having to drain the cooling system or remove the radiator.

REMOVAL
1. Remove refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery machine.
2. Disconnect and cap A/C lines at the condenser.
3. Remove condenser mounting bolts and unscrew 3/4 inch nut at receiver drier.
4. Remove screw from condenser inlet tube bracket and spread bracket open. The receiver drier comes out separate from the condenser.

CAUTION: Avoid bending or breaking condenser inlet tube when lining condenser from the vehicle.

5. Lift condenser from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse the above procedures.
