Rear Door Window Glass: Service and Repair

Rear Door Glass:





REAR DOOR GLASS REMOVAL
1. Remove door trim panel and upper trim retainer channel.
2. Remove window frame applique.
3. Raise door glass to gain access to roller channel to glass fasteners through holes in inner door panel.
4. Loosen screws holding regulator roller channel to glass.
5. Slide roller channel rearward to allow screw heads to pass through key hole slots in channel.
6. Separate glass from roller channel.
7. Raise glass upward and out of the opening at top of door.

INSTALLATION
1. Lower glass into opening at top of door.
2. Place glass in position against roller channel.
3. Insert screw heads into key hole slots in roller channel and slide channel forward to locked position.
4. Tighten screws to hold regulator roller channel to glass.
5. Install upper trim retainer channel and install door trim panel.

Rear Door Stationary Glass:





REAR DOOR STATIONARY GLASS REMOVAL
1. Remove door trim panel.
2. Open door glass.
3. Pull glass run weatherstrip from rear channel.
4. Remove screws holding top of stationary glass to door frame.
5. Remove nut holding rear of stationary glass to door frame.
6. Remove bolt holding bottom of stationary glass to inner door panel.
7. Using a suitable trim stick, pry stationary glass away from rear most end of door frame.
8. Using a utility knife, cut butyl adhesive holding stationary glass to door frame.
9. Separate stationary glass from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean butyl adhesive from around stationary glass and door frame.
2. Using a suitable fence primer, prime stationary glass and door frame fences.
3. Apply 8 mm (5/16 in.) round butyl tape to the fence area on the stationary glass.
4. Place stationary glass in position on vehicle.
5. Install bolt to hold bottom of stationary glass to inner door panel.
6. Install nut to hold rear of stationary glass to door frame.
7. Install screws to hold top of stationary glass to door frame.
8. Push glass run weatherstrip into rear channel.
9. Close door glass.
10. Install door trim panel.
