THEORY OF OPERATION:
The DRB indicates "NO RESPONSE" if the TCM ground circuit is open, the communication bus circuit(s) from the TCM to the Data Link Connector (DLC) are open, or the TCM fused B(+) circuit is below 10.0 volts.

WHEN MONITORED/SET CONDITIONS:
No Diagnostic Trouble Code is set for this problem. The DRB indicates "NO RESPONSE" while performing Test 1.
TRANSMISSION EFFECTS:
No effect. This test is to establish proper communication between the TCM and DRB.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
- TCM ground circuit(s) open
- TCM fused B(+) circuit open/low voltage
- Open or shorted fused ignition switch output circuit
- Communication bus circuit(s) from TCM to Data Link Connector open
