Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

PRE-REMOVAL OPERATION
1. Reduce residual pressure from high pressure hose. Refer to Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Service and Repair/Fuel Pressure Release Procedures. Service and Repair
2. Battery Removal
3. Air Intake Hose Removal





REMOVAL STEPS
1. Eye bolt
2. Gasket
3. High-pressure fuel hose connection
4. Gasket
5. Fuel main pipe connection
6. Fuel filter

REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS





Eye Bolt Removal
Hold the fuel filter with a spanner and remove the eye bolt.

CAUTION: As there will be some pressure remaining in the fuel pipe line, cover it with a rag to prevent fuel from spraying out.





Fuel Main Pipe Disconnection
Hold the fuel filter with a spanner and loosen the flare nut. Then disconnect the fuel main pipe.
