Positive Crankcase Ventilation: Testing and Inspection
Testing PCV Operation:
1. Remove the rocker cover side ventilation hose from the positive crankcase ventilation valve.
2. Start the engine and run at idle.
3. Place a finger at the opening of the positive crankcase ventilation valve and confirm that vacuum of the intake manifold is felt.
NOTE: At this moment, the plunger in the positive crankcase ventilation valve moves forward and backward.
4. If vacuum is not felt, replace it.
