Air Injection: Testing and Inspection

CAUTION: If the pulsed secondary air injection valve is broken, exhaust gases will be drawn back into the system.

Disconnect the pulsed secondary air injection hose from the air cleaner, and then place a small steel plate against the end of the hose. Check the amount of secondary air intake while the engine is at idle.
