53 Internal Controller Failure - (P 0605)

53 INTERNAL CONTROLLER FAILURE - (P 0605)

During power down, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) checks the bitsum.

If the bitsum does not match the calibration, the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is stored in memory and the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) is illuminated.

This malfunction can be caused only by the PCM.
