33 A/C Clutch Relay Circuit
33 A/C CLUTCH RELAY CIRCUITThe Powertrain Control Module (PCM) provides a switched ground to the A/C clutch relay at pin 59. By providing it with authority over A/C clutch operation at all times, the PCM can prevent operation of the A/C clutch in selected situations, such as when A/C is not desired by the driver, during wide open threatful operations, cool evaporator temperatures, high A/C pressures, part threatful launches, or for a brief period at start-up.
This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), when set, indicates an open or shorted condition in the A/C relay's electromagnet circuit.
This malfunction could possibly be caused by problems with any of the following components:
- A/C relay
- A/C relay wiring or related connectors (open or short)
- PCM
