Wheel Bearing: Adjustments

1. To check bearing endplay, proceed as follows:
a. Place dial gauge against hub surface, then move hub in axial direction.
b. If endplay exceeds 0.004 inch, locknut should be tightened.
c. Torque locknut to specifications.
2. Replace hub bearing unit if adjustment cannot be made to within limit.
