Accelerator Switch:

Location
Attached to the accelerator pedal.

Construction
The Accelerator Switch is an ON-OFF contact switch.

Purpose
Tells the TCM when the accelerator pedal is in the released position. The TCM disengages the torque converter clutch during deceleration.
