Control Unit Power Supply & Ground

Fig. 27 Control Unit Power Supply & Ground Circuit Diagram:

1. Disconnect control unit harness connector.
2. Connect a suitable voltmeter between control unit connector terminal 11 and ground.
3. Voltage indicated should be approximately 12 volts.
4. If voltage indicated is as specified, circuit is satisfactory; continue with procedure. If not, repair circuit as necessary.
5. Connect a suitable voltmeter between control unit connector terminal 1 and ground.
6. Turn ignition switch to On position.
7. Voltage indicated should be approximately 12 volts.
8. If voltage indicated is as specified, circuit is satisfactory; continue with procedure. If not, repair circuit as necessary.
9. Connect a suitable ohmmeter between control unit connector terminal 7 and ground, then terminal 17 and ground.
10. Turn ignition switch to Off position.
11. Ohmmeter should indicate continuity.
12. If continuity is indicated, circuit is satisfactory.
13. If continuity is not indicated, repair circuit as necessary.
