Cruise Control

Input test should be performed when the speed control system cannot be set, but necessary to check if the signals are normal when system malfunctions.

Fig. 12 Diagnostic Harness Connector:

1. Connect a voltmeter between ground and auto-cruise control terminal of diagnosis harness connector, located on lower left side of instrument panel.
2. Turn ignition switch to On position and cruise control switch to Off position.
3. Turn Set switch On, turn Cruise switch On then within one second, turn Resume switch to On position.

4. Perform each input operation according to inspection check chart. Each code will be displayed in order of priority. If there is no display, a possible malfunction of the ECU power supply. Check using circuit tests.
5. If output diagnostic trouble code is not displayed after two cycles, either switch or sensor is defective.
