DISCUSSION:

On vehicles built before January 11, 1993 (MDH 0111XX), whenever a wiper motor is removed for service, additional drain holes should be drilled in the windshield wiper carrier pocket to improve drainage.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This repair involves adding additional drain holes to the wiper carrier pocket.

1. Remove the wiper motor and carrier as described on page 8K-7 of the 1993 Concorde/Intrepid/Vision Service Manual.





2. Drill five 1/2 inch diameter holes in the pocket in the windshield wiper carrier as illustrated.



3. Install the wiper motor and carrier.
