Revised Windshield Wiper Arms
MODELS:
1993 - 1994 (LH) Concorde/Intrepid/Vision/LHS/New Yorker
DISCUSSION:
Windshield wiper arms have been revised to increase the arm to cowl screen clearance, and the arm geometry has been changed to improve blade contact, equalize blade length, and improve strength.
NOTE:
THE REVISED WINDSHIELD WIPER ARMS CAN BE USED ON VEHICLES BUILT BEFORE MARCH 21, 1994 (MDH 03-21-XX). BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT ARMS USE THE CURRENT LEFT SIDE WIPER BLADE, 600 MM (24 IN.). EITHER ARM MAY BE REPLACED INDEPENDENTLY.

1 4756685 Windshield Wiper Arm (Left)
2 4723444 Windshield Wiper Blade (600 mm/24 in.)
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves replacing windshield wiper arms.
1. Place the wiper arm/blades in the PARK position and turn ignition OFF.
2. Lift wiper arm to raise blade off glass and move retainer tab to hold the arm up.
3. Remove the arm from the pivot using a rocking motion.
4. Disconnect the washer hose at the plastic in-line connector. Be sure that the inline connector is saved.
5. Remove and discard the plastic key insert from the new arm.
6. Install the new arm with-the tip of the blade in the blackout area. From the bottom of the windshield to the blade should be no closer than 24 mm (1 in.).
7. Cycle the wiper motor into the PARK position and check the blade location. Adjust as necessary.
NOTE:
PROPER WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM FUNCTION CAN BE MAINTAINED BY LUBRICATING THE HINGE PIN WITH LIGHT OIL AT REGULAR MAINTENANCE INTERVALS.
